Day 01: Guwahati Airport – Shillong (130 KMS / 3 ½ hrs drive)

Meet & greet on arrival at Guwahati airport & transfer to Shillong. Enroute visit Umium Lake. Check in Hotel. Overnight in Shillong

DAY 02: Day trip to Cherrapunjee (60 KMs / 2 hrs-One way)

Today morning after breakfast excursion to Cherrapunjee. Visit Dwan Syiem view point, Noh kalikai falls, Mawsmai caves, Seven Sister falls, Eco park etc. Later drive back to Shillong. On the way visit to Shillong Peak & Elephant Falls. In the evening, you can go for shopping at Police Bazar. Overnight in Shillong.

Day 03: Shillong – Mwallynnong – Shillong (85 KMs / 2 ½ hrs-One way)

After breakfast excursion to Mwallynnong. Later return back to Shillong. Evening visit Local markets. Overnight in Shillong.

Day 04: Local Sightseeing in Shillong

Full day Local sightseeing in Shillong including the city’s own Ward’s Lake is popular for short garden walks & boating. The Botanical Garden offers plethora of indigenous and exotic plants & rare collection of orchids. Lady Hydari Park is a Japanese style landscaped park endowed with streaches of roses & exquisite flowers. One of the largest Golf courses in Asia

Is an 18 hole Golf Course is charted amidst a surging valley full of thick pine groves & rhododendron trees. Spend the evening in the splendid arena! The State Museum is a display of the lifestyle and heritage of the people of Meghalaya. Shillong and its surrounding is dotted with splendid waterfalls cascading down deep valleys forming misty sparks as they break the silence of the surroundings. Elephant Falls is a mountain stream gorging down two successive falls set in dells of fern covered rocks. For the Bird’s eye view of Shillong, one can take a stand at Shillong Peak. Overnight in Shillong.

Day 05: Shillong – Guwahati Airport Departure

After breakfast transfer to Guwahati airport.

  • All your proper travel documents while touring to North-East India.
  • Check if Restricted Area Permission is required to visit the area you are heading.
  • Bring appropriate clothing according to the climate condition of the region. While planning to visit North-East India in winters, you need to bring some winter clothes. In summers, carry light clothes.
  • Equip yourself with all necessary amenities like trekking kit, cameras and binoculars.
  • Always put a personal first-aid-box in your bag. Some of North-Eastern states are very less populated, and you may not find a doctor at urgent basis.
  • Carry your own communications modes, if possible. Finding a PCO or Internet cafe may be an arduous task. So, it is better to carry your own cellphone and laptop. Carrying a tour guide book will work wonder. It will help you gaining heaps of information about the region, which will definitely add delight to your touring experience.
  • Instead of carrying too much cash, it is better to use your cards for any transaction. Though it may not always be a good idea, as shops accepting cards are located only at major towns.
  • Do not carry weapon. North-East India is a sensitive area, and carrying a weapon may invite you serious trouble.
  • Do not carry alcohol/drugs inside the premises of religious spots. It might hurt sentiments of locals.
